How to send visitor alerts to Slack.
Create an incoming webhook in Slack, paste the URL into VisitorPing, and choose which visits should post. Discord and Telegram work the same way.
Create the webhook
In Slack, create an app for your workspace, enable incoming webhooks, and add one to the channel you want alerts in. Slack gives you a URL.
Treat that URL as a secret. Anyone holding it can post into the channel.
Connect it
Paste the URL into your VisitorPing alert settings and choose which visits should be sent. Discord and Telegram are configured the same way, with their own webhook or bot token.
Put it in its own channel
Do not send alerts into a channel people use for conversation. Visitor alerts arrive at their own pace and will bury everything else, and then someone mutes the channel and the alerts stop being read.
A dedicated channel that people check deliberately works far better than an interruption in a busy one.
Send fewer than you think
A shared channel makes the noise problem worse, because everyone experiences it. Start with only your highest-intent pages — pricing, booking, contact — and widen only if the channel feels quiet.
The measure of success is that people read them, not that they arrive.
Find what is costing you search clicks, then watch the fix work.
VisitorPing reads your own Search Console data for the pages losing clicks, then rings your phone the moment someone lands on your website.
