How to connect Google Search Console.
Verify the site with Google, then connect the property. It is free, it takes about ten minutes, and it is the only source of what you actually rank for — everything else is somebody's estimate.
Verify the site with Google
Go to Google Search Console and add your site as a property. A domain property covers every subdomain and needs a DNS record; a URL prefix property covers one address and can be verified with an HTML tag or file.
If you are unsure, use the domain property. It is more work once and avoids finding later that half your traffic sits outside the property you set up.
Expect it to be empty at first
Search Console only collects data from the moment you verify. It does not backfill, so a new property shows nothing for a day or two and very little for a week.
This is normal and catches everyone out once.
Connect it to VisitorPing
In the dashboard open Search Performance and connect your Google account, then choose the verified property that matches the website. Only properties you have verified will appear.
Once imported, the reports use your own query data: the searches you nearly rank for, the pages clicked less often than their position earns, and anything Google cannot index.
Why this matters more than it sounds
Most SEO tools estimate your rankings by sampling searches from outside. Search Console reports what Google actually showed and what people actually clicked, for your site specifically.
Anything built on that is checkable. Anything built on estimates is a guess presented confidently.
Find what is costing you search clicks, then watch the fix work.
VisitorPing reads your own Search Console data for the pages losing clicks, then rings your phone the moment someone lands on your website.
