How to connect Google Ads.
Authorise the connection from the integrations page and pick the account. Daily campaign spend, impressions, clicks and conversions are then imported and matched to the visits you already track.
Connecting the account
Open Integrations in the dashboard and start the Google Ads connection. Sign in with the Google account that can see the ads account you want, and approve the access request.
If you manage several accounts through a manager account, choose the specific one — connecting the manager alone imports nothing.
What comes across
Per campaign, per day, in the account's own currency:
- • Spend, impressions and clicks.
- • Conversions as Google counts them, which may not match how you count them.
- • Campaign names, so the numbers are readable without opening Google Ads.
Why it is worth connecting
Google Ads reports clicks and conversions on its own terms. Putting spend next to the visits your own site recorded lets you ask a different question: did that campaign bring people who behaved like buyers, or people who left immediately?
That distinction is where most wasted ad spend hides. A campaign with a good click-through rate and no engaged visits is expensive and looks fine in the platform.
What to expect
Figures settle over a day or two. Google adjusts spend and conversion counts after the fact, so a number checked in the morning may differ by the evening — that is Google, not the import.
Currency comes from the ads account. If you run accounts in different currencies, compare within an account rather than across.
Find what is costing you search clicks, then watch the fix work.
VisitorPing reads your own Search Console data for the pages losing clicks, then rings your phone the moment someone lands on your website.
